Two more higher education institutions associated with Churches of Christ…

Its the latest in a long list of Christian colleges and universities that have reported growth in this and recent years, despite many higher education institutions across the U.S. experiencing decline.

The Florence, Ala., university has 131 students for the fall semester, which is around a 65 percent increase since 2018 and the highest recorded number since 2003 — though the record of 149 set in 2001 still stands.
Since then, the student makeup has shifted to include more graduate and online students for HCU’s biblical studies programs. The school set a new record of 47 graduate students, while 72 percent of its student body is taking advantage of online course offerings.
HCU also recently entered an agreement that will allow its graduates to continue their biblical studies at Faulkner University, another Alabama school associated with Churches of Christ.
President Kirk Brothers said in a press release, “God is doing amazing things at Heritage Christian University. … To God be the glory!”
