Welcome to Voices only, where we search the internet to bring you great a cappella.
The trio Rejoice! sang recently at a ladies tea hosted by the Canyon View Church of Christ in San Diego. We featured the trio previously in 2016.
The group sang “Mary Did You Know?” “You Are the New Day,” “Heaven’s Really Gonna Shine” and a medley of “I Believe” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone” arranged by group member Lisa Caswell.
Caswell and Katha Winther are members of the Canyon View church. The trio’s third member, Patty Alley, worships with the Johnson Avenue Church of Christ in El Cajon, Calif.
“We have sung together, off and on, for 28 years and for various occasions,” Winther told The Christian Chronicle. “We have all been members of the Sonlight Singers chorus in San Diego and the International Christian Singers, who sang at churches in Europe.”
The trio also has sung at memorial services, wedding, La Mesa Christmas in the Village, Balboa Park’s Twilight in the Park and at Lindbergh Field International Airport in San Diego. Rejoice! also has sung the national anthem for the San Diego Padres.
They’ve been invited to sing twice at the White House — for the Millennium Tour in 2000 and Holidays at the White House in 2012.
