Jeremie Beller serves as Opinions Editor for The Christian Chronicle. Beller oversees the production of the Chronicle’s monthly editorial and reviews pages.
Beller is the Congregational Minister for the Wilshire Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, where he has served since 2002. Prior to his role at Wilshire, he preached for the Chandler Church of Christ in Oklahoma. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Bible and ministry from Oklahoma Christian University as well as a Master of Arts in Ministry and an M.Div. in congregational ministry. Beller also earned a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in communication and persuasion with his dissertation focusing on religion and racism.
He has taught courses in preaching, Bible and communications as an adjunct professor at Oklahoma Christian. He also teaches Bible for Oklahoma Christian Academy in Edmond, Okla. Beller has presented at the Christian Scholars Conference and was a contributor to the 2018 book “Why We Stayed: Honesty and Hope in Churches of Christ.”
He and his wife, Delaina, married in 1999 and have two children: son named Keaton and a daughter named Kayden. Delaina teaches fourth-grade math and science at Oklahoma Christian Academy where Keaton and Kayden also attend school.
